Cincinnati Open

As the lead artist for the Cincinnati Open, I focused on enhancing the viewer experience by updating the existing graphics to a more dynamic feel. Using Adobe After Effects, I designed and created graphics that were displayed on large screens and ribbon boards during the event, which received positive feedback from both my team and the client for their ability to add an extra layer of excitement and engagement to the event. This project also marked my first opportunity to travel as a professional artist.

Overview

One of the challenges with this project was creating designs that could translate across seven different LED boards with various aspect ratios. If pulled off correctly, it can create an immersive experience for the fan. If not, it can cause a distraction.

To ensure unity across the seven boards, we presented them for review on a single screen. This allowed us to catch inconsistencies and tweak the overall design.

The end result was incredibly satisfying! I had the privilege of sitting in the stands for a match and seeing my designs flash in and out around the stadium.
